what was your favorite moment, or favorite part, of your wedding day?
walking down the isle and dancing the nigh away!
is there anything you wish you had done differently when planning your wedding?
I would have had a better back up plan for the rain, but luckily we have amazing family and friends who pulled everything together for us and everything turned out great.
which three vendors were most important to you when planning your wedding?
Hair/makeup, photographer, caterer
what was your biggest wedding day savings?
Our venue was fairly inexpensive and allowed us to add all of our own touches. It was definitely more work since we had to coordinate everything ourselves, but everything ended up feeling like us.
what was your biggest wedding day splurge?
My hair and makeup wasn’t the cheapest but they did an amazing job and I would have paid double since I felt so great all done up.
what was the best advice you received when planning your wedding? (and did you listen?)
I was often reminded that it’s just one day. I tried to keep this in mind because it is very easy to get carried away or overly stressed. I wanted to enjoy the day and I absolutely did.
was there anything encountered during wedding planning that was unexpected?
There were a lot more small details than I expected but luckily my mother in law is great with planning and helped me to keep track of everything.
was there a moment during your wedding day that surprised you?
The rain! I have to admit I was really upset about it at first, but once I walked down the aisle I kind of forgot about it and just went with the flow.
when you look back on your wedding day in 50 years, what do you think you’ll remember most?
Walking down the aisle to my husband and going out after the wedding. We all went to a bar downtown after the reception- wedding dress,tuxes and all!
