erica & kevin * tampa, fl wedding photographer

erica and kevin married at the beautiful sacred heart church followed by a fun, lively reception at the palma ceia golf and country club. the food all looked delicious and the cookie table was really, really amazing. there were hundreds (and hundreds!) of cookies all made by erica’s grandmother. and these were no slice and bake cookies. they were hand crafted, unique, beautiful cookies and sweets and i can’t even imagine the love and time that went into creating each one.

thank you to christine de lessio for coming along as a second shooter! in the slideshow below, she is the one that captured the guys-getting-ready shots, as well as the series of images of kevin seeing erica as she walked down the aisle with her dad. so, so sweet.

also, a big high-five to life’s highlights who were acting as videographers for the day (but they do photography as well). april and scott were WONDERFUL to work with from a photographer’s point of view (probably because they know a whole lot about said point of view).  i really enjoyed their company and hope i get to work with them again sometime soon!  and lastly, i als0 really loved erica and kevin’s band!  they kept the energy up all night and were so much fun to watch!

but my most favorite part of their wedding might have been the  toasts, which were funny and heartfelt and full of excitement for erica and kevin’s life to come.  erica’s dad had everyone laughing aloud  at with kevin for wearing university of florida gator shorts, handmade by erica, after her dad informed her that no man in his right mind would go in public in homemade shorts.  but then admitting that seeing kevin in those shorts that game day let him know that kevin was serious about erica and would do anything to make her happy.  he topped off this story by producing a HUGE photograph of erica and kevin from that fateful day, wearing their matching gator outfits and looking adorable.  after lovely toasts from the best man and maid of honor, and a rendition of “we are the boys of old florida”, kevin took the microphone to say a few words, recount his tale of meeting his new bride, and to proclaim to the room that he knew she was so out of his league. : )
