clean start

my computer is driving me craaaaazzzy!
i have a new one (well, a new-to-me one, handed down from michael’s mom) and i am ready to have a clean slate.  i want a totally empty, clean, file-free, program-free, fresh start… but, of course, easier said than done.
i purchased windows 7 to overwrite the microsoft vista on the computer when i inherited it, thinking this would make my life easier down the road (and i do still think it will) but -goodness- is it causing all kinds of headaches.
i’ve spent, at least, 10 hours working on getting a fresh start!  hours and hours just to delete everything.  dumb.
i went to the geek squad this morning and made some poor man talk me through everything (because to have them do it for me, it would be $200! but they’d talk for free.) and now i’m back home with 1 hour left of step two of this three step process.
fingers crossed that by bedtime tonight i will have a clean slate, ready to junk up with my super huge adobe programs (photoshop, illustrator, lightroom, etc…) and lots and lots and lots of photographs!
in other “clean start” news: i am in the last steps of redoing all of my branding!
i have a new blog and refreshed website in the making (so please excuse me if the wesite starts acting funny, or disappears all together, while i update it and make a move to a different website server).  i cannot wait to have it all ready to launch.
that is definitely what is so frustrating about all this computer hokey pokey going on today and yesterday!  i just want to have my computer back so i can finish up and show you the new look!
(sorry no picture today … blame it on dell and/or microsoft)
oh, hi
